Missio Dei Church

in the community

Missio Dei Church sees missional outreach as a vital part of the church's existence in the world. Particularly, God has placed us in Huntington to be His witnesses and bring Him glory, in both word and deed. We think 'outreach' is more than inviting more people to come to a worship service on Sunday morning. Therefore, we pray God will use us in increasing and creative ways to put on display the Gospel of grace through tangible service to our city.

Serve the City

In June MDC engaged in a campaign called "Serve the City". We distributed 3,000 care bags to city workers, police officers, firemen, media outlets, restaurant workers, business owners, and others to say "thank you" for making Huntington a great city to live in. Crossway Community Church from Kentucky brought in a team to partner with us in this massive distribution.

We will have pictures online soon from the event. The Herald Dispatch followed up the campaign with an article in the paper the following week. See article here.

More to come...

We believe God wants to use you to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus through your words and deeds where you live, work, and play. In the past as a church we have renovated an elementary school's teacher's lounge, distributed gift bags to more than 100 restaurant workers, built a wheelchair ramp, delivered and spread mulch to multiple homes, helped teachers move boxes and supplies from one school to another, painted a library, helped people move, made pancakes for MU students, and more.

Who are your neighbors? How might you serve them in love? How can we help partner with you?
